Tomatoes took root as a wild plant in the Americas, earning the name ‘xitomatl' from the Aztecs, translated quite literally as 'plump fruit.' This candle has a sun-ripened cultivated aroma, full to bursting with fresh notes from the earth. Dampened soil and heritage tomato form a blend harvested straight from the garden, bringing the outdoors in.

Be sure to keep your candle lit for 3-4 hours (or until the pool of wax reaches the perimeter) the first light. While all candles need to have their wicks trimmed for optimal performace, wood wicks can be extra fiesty and this step is of upmost importance. If your wick is having trouble staying lit, make sure to trim it (remove some of the burnt debris) and relight. Then it'll be good to go!
